Grrr. Broadband is still merely a far away dream currently unattainable due to Totalise being feckless muppets. On the bright side, the helpful and friendly people at Pipex seem convinced that they can get us up and running at 1mbp/s in a jiffy. We'll see...

On happier note, nailbug is coming down tomorrow, and thanks to the friendly people at Thinkgeek.com, one of her birthday pressies have already arrived. This is particularly impressive since it's shipped from the great capitalist enemy on the other side of the pond and I ordered it Tuesday evening...
Most impressive. I also got myself a nice little present while I was at it. I really must learn to control myself when I hit that site. I'm seriously considering setting Thinkgeek.com to point to 127.0.0.1 in my host file. That should take care of that.

I have also made a decision that I can't wait til I get broadband and can download books illegally. I must take more exams sooner, so I also bought a couple of computer books. Both on XP Pro and Server 2003. Having them in bookform should also make it easier to read on the tube rather than having a large binder which spreads over three seats.

Tomorrow I have my induction at the gym I've joined, so from next week I'm going to try to get up around 5:30 and go to the gym every day before work. I hope to do various muscle groups on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, and then do cardio-vascular excercises Tuesday and Thursday. This is of course subject to change.
The past week and a half I've been going to bed around 22:00 - 23:00 instead of my normal 02:00 - 03:00 and I'm feeling much better for it.
Soon I shall be the very picture of good health :)

And now I must get back to cleaning my room so it will be suitable for a young lady to stay here while in Londinium...
