Linux Day 3

I'm starting to miss windows, but I will forge ahead.

Things I don't understand:

1) Why is it that after I have installed an application (In this case VMWare) the link to said app decides to disappear suddenly. And without a convenient .exe file to use for starting I now seem to have to open a shell and type the application name, vmware, which at least works, but it's now unstable as hell...

2) Why won't it let me stay signed into Livejournal (And presumably other sites)? Firefox will happily let me stay logged in on other machines. Windows machines that is.

The e-mail clients I have seen so far has been ugly as hell and virtually featureless. Sigh, I miss Outlook already.

The one thing I will say is great though is the desktop background. that's pretty sweet.
Other than that, so far windows beats this Linux stuff hands down. But I suppose that that is what you get when you compare a hobby OS to a proper corporate OS...

I'll persevere for a bit longer though...

But it's something that make me all warm and happy inside :) <3

  • Gnome Punting is fun...

Well, I think so :) Anyway, great weekend. Garlic & Shots was great and viking training was fantastic. I kicked ass and took names with the mighty…

I don't know if this is for real, but it sure is funny in a tragical kind of way. I think it will appeal to some of you
